Bob Cathie (Conservator North Scotland) is presenting Kenny Tuoch with his Forestry Commission Long Service Certificate. Certificates are presented for service of 30 years or over.

Bill Rayner has very kindly provided the following information and tribute:
‘Kenny was a 'Gentleman' in the true sense of the word, courteous and conscientious, he lived with his brother Archie, in the croft house at Glacour, in Strathconon all their days, until Kenny took ill after retiral and went into the nursing home at Strathgarve Lodge, and then to Muir of Ord, where he passed away in 1990.

Kenny started working on Strathconon Estate before World War II and was an artist at hedge trimming and other estate jobs. During the War, I believe that he spent time down in the Falklands and after the War returned to Strathconon, working on the Estate until the "Forestry" acquired the ground to the north of Loch Meig from the hydro dam and along the northern face of Strathconon to behind Miltown, from Strathconon Estates. Kenny then joined the Strathconon squad with Peter Mckenzie and 'Dunc' Maclennan. When Strathconon Forest was merged with Torrachilty Forest, Kenny moved with the rest of the squad and covered the whole of the Torrachilty Forest. The Hogmanay celebrations at Glacour were memorable for the craic and Kenny and Archie were both grand neighbours and friends for the short time that I knew them both’.
