Mechanised harvesting demonstration

Mechanised harvesting demonstration

Date Added: 12 March 2013 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1982 Picture No: 1690

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

Unfortunately there was no information on the photographs of the three machines in the demo or on the location. This appears to be a Kockums stroke delimbing processor working in small thinnings. Note the two extended arms below the boom which appear to direct the falling cut products to the other side of the machine clear of the wheels.
