The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.
George Dey (District Officer) for once in front of the lens and Chrissie Mackenzie (Dingwall Office PA and Telephonist).
Can anyone help with the identity of any others behind?
The PDF shows the lady, John Ross (Roads Area Engineer) and George Dey (District Officer).
George covered the forests of Torrachilty, Achnashellach and Skye which included Lael, South Strome, Slattadale, all the Skye forests and those on Raasay and Lewis.
Finlay was DO for forests to the south and included Black Isle, Glen Affric. Can anyone name the others?
