The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

The demonstration of the Kokums 84-31 is thought to have taken place at Culloden. The machine registration is PSV402V which would have been quite new at time photograph was taken. These were such tough durable machines it is possible that it may have been a reconditioned model brought over from Scandinavia. Can anyone confirm?

One problem with the forwarder was its relatively short carrying bunk and lack of ability to take two rows of 3 metre long pulp. This was overcome in Aberdeenshire by locally extending the trailer chassis and adding another set of pins.

Can anyone name the forester just in shot on the left hand side?
