Slattadale Forest, Achnashellach Alp skyline
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.
The Alp cable crane winch belonging to James Jones and Sons is set up but not working at time of photograph in Slattadale Forest which was under the charge of Chief Forester at Achnashellach.
Any information on the machine and its operators would be very welcome.
