Worker’s Break time at Strathyre Forest

William spent two years on a Forestry Commission apprentice scheme in Strathyre Forest living in the hostel with about 16 other young lads who worked along side the local longer term forest workers.
In this photograph his forestry colleagues are resting during a piece break. They are from the left - David Balfour, Peter McGregor, Lionel Holmes, Jimmy McKenzie and Rae (Ray) Brown.
