Bert Mackie from Blairgowrie is driving this machine as it rips out and stockpiles the rock in Balloch Quarry between Huntly and Keith. The machine FC Number looks like 58073 or 56073

This quarry supplied high quality hard rock but unfortunately it tended to rip out with some very large sized material and was difficult to surface roads unless a deep depth was applied. This was solved in later years with the advent of small mobile crushers which crushed everything down to less than 4 inches or there about.
