Former Forestry Students return to Benmore
Photograph by Norman Davidson who was invited to join a reunion of former Benmore forestry students in August 2012. Also see previous picture record.
The event was based around the Whistlefield Hotel and here the guys are sheltering in the stick shed waiting for the large cooked breakfasts to be served in the dining room.
Waiting patiently from the left are:
1. Ian Tillotson (student 1960-62)
2. Brian Monaghan (student 1960-62)
3. Frank Thom (student 1960-62)
4. Trevor Wilson (student 1957-59)
5. John Livingstone (student 1960-62)
6. John (Jock) Boyd (student 1960-62)
The PDF attached to this image shows members of the return group visiting Benmore Garden’s Café and Shop, the Avenue, remains of a very large blown Sitka spruce, the outside of Benmore House and a view of the newly restored Fernery.
