Caterpillar D4 ploughing tractor, registration number GFS172T, with a single furrow Cuthbertson head plough, working in an unknown location. This must be one of the earliest versions of the D4 ploughing tractors which eventually made up most of the ploughing fleet in later years except for those used for mounted tine work.
The driver’s face is a bit more visible but still difficult to recognise and has been enlarged in PDF. Jocky Banks and Len Newman come to mind but very difficult to say. Can anyone come up with a definite name?
