An Igland winch team in Lael Forest are paused for a discussion. The furthest away person standing on the timber is Frank Thom who was Forester stationed there for a few years from March 1977.

Frank says that the middle man could possibly be Tim Taylor who was Chief Forester in charge of Lael and Torrachilty combined at that time and the man nearest is the winch operator Ian Brown. Frank also remembers that Chris King was the other winch team member who could have been up in the wood as choker man at the time this photograph was taken.

How much end profit was there after setting up and working this type of outfit, as it was hard enough working a forwarder on normal ground. Comment left on 19 June 2016 at 18:06 by Leslie Phillip
