This view shows the arrestor plate on the skyline to restrain the carriage from running away down hill when load is dropped at the road edge and the haul in line slackened to unhitch the trees. The anchoring chain can be seen to the left and the light rope for unlocking the hook is hanging down but at this point the carriage is not quite locked in place.
