A demonstration of an early Pika processor in Kielder Forest to foresters from many park of the UK. The processor is mounted on a Valmet 880S base and here the Pika has been tilted to start picking up a felled Scots pine tree. It is unclear whether there was any lateral rotation of the Pika head but if not there would have been a great deal of cumbersome manoeuvring by the Valmet base.

Can anyone remember this machine and say how effective it was?
