Possible RSFS visit to Donside area

Two RSFS events were recorded in Aberdeenshire in 1973 and this is almost certainly the Donside occasion and in Kildrummie Castle Hotel grounds.

Are the lady and gentleman the Kildrummie Castle Hotel owners in 1973?

The PDF shows a further two views of people in the Kildrummie Gardens but views are distant and people not easily recognised

I wonder if the gentleman in the photograph is Professor Matthews, Professor of Forestry at Aberdeen University in 1973 ?
