Fire Hut Tap o Noth Clashindarroch Forest

Stunning view overlooking the south end of the extensive Clashindarroch Forest. From the fire hut, on a clear day, a fire watcher could see most of this forest and also much of the surrounding area. An old field telephone system connected the hut with the office in Gartly village. The hut is long gone but the base can still be seen.

Can anyone identify who is standing in the door of the hut?

I was on Tap o' Noth earlier this year and wondered what the concrete foundation was for. Thanks to this picture, I now know what it is. There is a similar one on Millstone Hill (also pictured on this site https://www.forestry-memories.org.uk/picture/number1814/ ) so I now know about that one too.

While I understand why no one would have wanted to go to the effort and expense to remove it, it is a bit disappointing that the significant archaeological hill fort site on Tap o' Noth has a rather unsightly concrete square at the edge of it.
