Tractor converted to Forwarder with Trailer

George has not given any information on this machine other than to say it belongs to a private contactor working in Bennachie.
Can anyone identify the tractor make and who made the conversion?

Hello, The colour would indicate it`s a Highland Bear conversion but the cab construction and use of a Wartsilla crane indicates it`s a Chieftain Forge conversion. If you phone Chieftain Forge they will help. They`re very nice people and very helpful. Mike

This is indeed a Chieftain Forge machine with the Wartsilla crane, but it is on a County-converted International 634 tractor rather than the more usual Ford based machines - hence the overall finish in International red.

My god what a beast, I think this model had the legendary International six cylinder engine that ran like a Swiss watch with loads of power, plus four wheel drive and rear wheel chains for extra grip in the wood, I wonder if it ever ran the road to a sawmill. You can tell I am impressed.

The International Harvester 634 "ALL WHEEL DRIVE" is indeed a COUNTY conversion (from Fleet in Hampshire) but is a 67bhp 4 cylinder not 6 as suggested above.
