This well defined photograph shows a special twin furrow plough designed to ‘complete’ plough the hillside much the same manner as a farmer would his fields. This is a very large and heavy set of plough heads and appears to be able to push the tine sock down 90cms and mould board to a depth of 60cms which is being achieved going by the soil marks on the head frame.

The main beam has been strengthened by adding a vertical steel strip on its bottom edge. The off set plough heads have been accommodated by constructing an outrider steel box on either side of the beam and the whole assembly sits in a normal Parkgate plough frame.
