Twin furrow ploughing Clashindarroch

This well defined photograph shows a special twin furrow plough designed to ‘complete’ plough the hillside much the same manner as a farmer would his fields. This is a very large and heavy set of plough heads and appears to be able to push the tine sock down 75cms and mould board to a depth of 60cms which is being achieved going by the soil marks on the head frame. Note that the heather has been burnt to facilitate easy turn over of the soil.
