Bennachie Fire on Pittodrie Estate

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

Men resting after having tackled fire on Pittodrie part of Bennachie Hill. The group seem to include some local firemen but almost certainly estate and Forestry Commission workers as well as local people helping out.

Can anyone put a name to any of the people?
