Ford County tractor and small timber arch
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
The location is thought to be Inverliever Forest possibly after the 1957 windblow. It is a very dark image but perhaps someone will recognise some of the people working on site.
The atmospheric photograph captures a variety of workers: tractor driver and his bank’s man, a couple of men with axe and cross cut saw to cut the broken trees, a horseman and his horse at the bottom of the image.
Any names would be very welcome indeed.
