Orange Isachsen short tower winch - Inverliever
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
This excellent photograph of the new Isachsen double drum winch and its operator at Inverliever Forest. Can anyone name the operator?
The two brake levers (one for each drum) can be seen on the right hand side of the photograph. The only local modification is the stick seen lying on the steel frame which is most likely attached to the throttle lever of the tractor.
