Inverliever Forest— lady brashing trees
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
George records in his diary taking some photographs of felling, brashing and rafting in 1956 and this fits in with date on one of his slides. This is a very atmospheric image of someone hard at work brashing a fairly heavily branched Sitka spruce tree with a pruning saw.
Can anyone recognise the lady from the profile?
