I came to Dalavich in 1983 to drive a truck for Roddy MacEachen and Tommy Stewart (LF Stewart&Son) was a great experience for a young guy starting out in life. I lived with Peggy and Alister McIntyre who were the best people and killed me with kindness. Though I now live in Alberta I have many fond memories of my time in Dalavich . My wife and I lodged with Alice and Johnie Walker when we came to Dalavich in1956 and moved into 4A. We left with two daughters, Linda and Julie, in1965. Alice did a great rendering of"Que sera, sera." I am 85 and retired in Dumfries. Comment left on 27 August 2018 at 19:45 by David Main
