Men on new forest road circa 1958
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
Two men are standing on a newly constructed forest road which could possibly be in Inverliever as there is the outline of a Loch in the background and new road lines were a strong feature in this forest in the late 50s. In his diary George does mention inspecting roads with a Mr Nisbett who may be one of the men – the other could be Bob Crozier the Head Forester at Inverliever until 1959. Unfortunately the image is not clear enough to see faces well.
Any information on location and who the two men are would be very welcome.
