Willie MacLennan, FC Horseman at Lael Forest

Willie is pictured with one of his horses dragging timber for the Forestry Commission at Lael Forest around the early 1970s. Apparently Willie had several horses and hired them out to the Forestry Commission. Does anyone remember the horses dragging the timber at Lael?

Horses were in use at Lael up to about 1980-81.They were owned by Willie MacLennan and worked by him and Murdo MacKenzie.

Yes I remember horsesdragging the timber at Lael also South Strome and Ardross. Hugh Macrae was forester at Lael at the time I remember back in the mid 50's, Derek Moir used to own the horses dragging timber at Ardross again back in the mid to late 50's
