Bill MacKenzie and County Loader
Photograph courtesy of Brian Fletcher, Conon Bridge.
Forestry Commission loader driver Bill MacKenzie is standing beside a converted County Tractor at Newtyle, Morayshire. The FC number is 61084 and Registration EHM901J.
The County has been significantly modified and appears as though it can be operated from a normal cab (for driving between sites?) and also from the top cab for loading lorries.
Can anyone give more information on this machine and where it was manufactured?

I think the right term for this machine is a forward control, probably built at County conversions Fleet Hampshire.

The Tractor is a County FC 1004 (FC for forward control) a standard model made from 1967 to 1977.
Crane probably fitted by another company, difficult to identify from the view. Comment left on 20 August 2016 at 12:38 by Jimmy Thain
