Draining plough bogged
Callop plantation near forestry gate at head of Loch Shiel, Glenfinnan. part of this area consisted of very soft peat and some of it was ploughed with the a T500 very lightweight tractor(wooden track plates covered with aluminium). Neil MacKinnon, lorry driver from Glenrigh, looks on while Donnie Junor (next to tractor) and ?? (please help with name)dig down to try to attach the winch rope on the rear of the tractor to the buried drawbar of the the bogged draining plough. The tractor is a modest weight Track Marshall with wide tracks used in pairs in tandem to pull the the very large plough. This operation took place after the ground was ploughed and in the softer areas either the tractor or plough getting bogged was not an uncommon experience.
