Strathyre Forestry Village c1975

Sandy comments ‘Attached is a photo of the Swedish Houses in the Forest Workers village in Strathyre, Perthshire. I can’t recall which year I took the photograph, probably between 1970-80. The grassy area with a few saplings planted in it was a small tree nursery worked by Forest Worker Apprentices (I being one of them) between 1957-59. We lived in the apprentice’s bothy in the right edge of the photo. I am sure there’s a local Strathyre historian who will enlighten you on the Forestry Commission village and its activities.’
Can anyone provide names of families that lived there or some of their memories if they once were residents?
