Ford County 1004 E Series 1968 Highland Bear
This 4x4 100HP Highland Bear, a product of the James Jones and Sons workshops, is currently owned by Colin Smith, Ord Brae, Huntly. He is unsure of the history but believes it may have originally worked in the west circa 1968, south of Fort William or further afield and also in the pulp mill at Fort William. With a bit of care it can still do a good day’s work supplying his mill with round timber.
The James Jones plates are shown in the PDF but the only James Jones serial number seen is the Cab No JJ4500/009 and County1004.
Can anyone fill in the details of the history of this tractor, where it worked and who operated it?
