Forest Research Organisation Chart

The chart shows the Research section structure in the Forestry Commission as at circa 1980. The southern part of the structure was based at Alice Holt near Farnham and the northern at Roslin, Bush Estate, Edinburgh. There were many small offices located throughout the country where Research Foresters and staff were based who carried out much of and maintained the field experiments. Bases were located at Newton (Elgin), Shin (Lairg) and Fort Augustus etc.
