Forestry students at Newborough Sands

Forestry students from various schools throughout the country on a six week exchange course at Gwydyr Forestry School being treated to a day out to Newborough Forest. The forest was one of the Forestry Commission forests where shifting sand dunes were stabilised and planted with trees. The transport was the lorry with the canopy on the back and two rows of wooden bench seats in the back – still used in 1964!
