Ploughing tractor Fiat 100C with mounted tine
At the time this was a fairly new and larger tractor than the Fiat 70 on which tine ploughs were mounted directly on to the back. The single furrow could plough to a depth of 450mm and the sharp sock going further down to 600mm to help break any iron pan. Boughton 10 ton hydraulic winch in front. These outfits were mainly used in hard, rocky and steeper situations where trailed ploughs on their own wheels could not work. Driver was Jimmy Paton, in this case in Ariundle Wood, Sunart Forest.
