18 Ton log for James Jones mill

Log 36 feet long and 18 Tons (Oak?) being transported on a large pole wagon. Jim says ‘My brother Bill was one of the wood cutters. It is seen here at Melville Lodges, Ladybank. The tractor could drag the 40 ton load on road at 35mph.
The log was heading for James Jones mill at Larbert’ (See previous picture)

Can anyone name the two men?
