Newton Nursery work squad circa 1948
Mike Phillips, Newton, has passed on a cutting of an picture from possibly a local paper which features the women who worked in Newton nursery after the Second World War. The picture had been submitted by Mrs Hetty Milne (nee Coutts) from Elgin who is sitting front left. She has named some of the women as follows starting from the back :
