Unusual trees of Moray
Mike Phillips, a former research head forester at Newton, published several papers during his career and in retirement. In the attached PDF he describes a number of species of tree in Morayshire which has caught his attention and admiration. He discusses several Scots pines of note and size and also other rarer exotic species such as Chinese Dove Tree, Pacific Madrona etc growing in various locations and gardens.
