Circular saw setting tools from Charlie Smith

As a former and still working sawmiller, Charlie has gathered a collection of old wood working tools over his 65 plus years that he has worked in the wood business. Featured in this photograph is a comparatively modern 12 inch long Eclipse saw tooth setting tool large enough to tackle some of the smaller circular saw teeth.
The action of squeezing the handle once the saw tooth is inserted causes a shaped piston to drive the saw teeth against an angled shaping bar and thus bend the tooth partially to its shape. The knurled screw on the top of the handle is a stop adjuster or gauge which determines how much the tooth is bent over.
