Lockhart's Mill in the Bin Forest circa 1919

Sawmill belonging to Dan and Archie Lockhart said to be located in the Bin (Beinn) Forest, Huntly in 1919. The only person to have been identified has been Andy Paterson, fourth from the left, who was ‘the picker loon’. Can anyone name any of the others?
It is difficult to estimate the location of the mill in the photograph but there is some thought that the sun, from what shadows can be ascertained, is on the left hand side (south side) but by no means certain. If this was the case there is a possibility the location could be at some point along the present Bin Moss road.
Very little information has been found on the early Lockhart family and how many mills they ran as a business. In 1911 Daniel F. Lockhart is recorded as living in Huntly with a young family but so far no record of Archie Lockhart although a Jeannie Lockhart is recorded as the head of a young family also living in Huntly in 1911. From the Taylor family photographs showing early family members in Lockhart mills in many parts of Scotland is has to be assumed the Lockhart mill business must have been quite extensive pre 1920.
Any information on the early Lockhart family, their saw mills and also other local families that worked in the mills would be very welcome indeed. Evidence is beginning to accumulate that in the Huntly and surrounding localities a large number of local families worked in and depended on the timber felling and saw milling businesses which took them to many parts of Scotland. Again any more information on these families and their forestry work would again be very welcome.
